Great workshop, fantastic setting, beyond special!!!!!!
Small number of students in the class, loads of help in all areas of rug hooking. Fabulous visuals in
the studio, love seeing all the patterns displayed and wow-the walls of wool were breath taking. Food,
food and more good food. It really was a workshop of hooking, eating and sleeping, the three basic groups
that rug hookers need to survive. ****I think, I just visited rug hookers heaven on earth**** Marlys
Rhonda, What an extraordinary
experience I had at your recent workshop - One I shan't forget !!! The
one on one instruction I received from you was in depth and very
personal to my tastes. You guided me through each color choice and
placement step by step. Your encouragement was heartfelt. I truly felt
as if I where your only student ! My "journey of learning" was
absolutely wonderful. The entire time there was relaxing, yet
invigorating. Spending time with an old friend, meeting new friends and
breaking bread with all has made it a memorable event for me, one the
that I eagerly look forward to again!!! My regards to you all. A special
thanks to you and yours, Rhonda. Gail in Iowa.
HI RHONDA! JUST A NOTE TO LET YOU KNOW THAT I HAVE FINISHED HOOKING THE LADY LIBERTY RUG THAT YOU AND RONNIE BRINGLE HELPED PICK THE COLORS FOR. I HOOKED IT IN 16 DAYS (BETWEEN XMAS AND NEW YEARS) AND ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. THE COLORS YOU PICKED ARE FANTASTIC AND IT WORKED SO WELL FOR THE RUG. I AM SENDING YOU IN THE MAIL A PICTURE OF IT, THOUGHT YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE IT. HOPE TO TAKE A CLASS WITH YOU SOMETIME, BUT MY FRIEND RONNIE WILL BE MOVING TO SPOKANE WASHINGTON HOPEFULLY THIS SUMMER SO WILL HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL SHE GETS SETTLED THEN MAYBE WE CAN COME TOGETHER. HAVE A GREAT YEAR.
I just came across your wonderful web site!!! I just love your rugs. I have the book from Barbara Carroll & Emma Lou Lais. It is just a wonderful instructional book. I will have to check out your rugs in it. I have been a rug hooker (primitive rugs are my favorite) for several years now. It is such a passion of mine.
Well, I just wanted to let you know that I will be checking your site out on a reg basis now that I found it. I am not far from you.....about 45 minutes north of St. Louis.
I am new to rug hooking and have enjoyed your site very much. I am planning to come to Liberty from southwest Missouri. Its good to see there are rug hookers in Missouri.

Loved visiting your shop during the Gathering in Liberty last year and can't wait to revisit this year.
Thank you for your quick service. I love your patterns.
Love your pins! I'll be ordering soon. Do you host rug hooking camps or seminars? If so please email me.

Rhonda, So enjoy your studio & all the help you give when making choices. I especially enjoyed Emma Lou's day. What a privilage to know Emma Lou & you. Linda
I love your site, gallery and studio. Thank you for sharing. I am new to "hooking" and I do it with Wool Yarn (not latch hook) however, when finished designs look very similar. I hope to some day join a hooking group and attend a retreat even tho I do it a bit different. I still quilt but I LOVE hooking! Darla.
I attended Libety Gathering this past week and took time to come out to your studio. What a treat! I love it! I have to start hooking!
Rhonda - I absolutely LOVED the virtual tour of your rug hooking studio! We've recently added on to our home and I have a new quilting/rug hooking studio that needs to be decorated. You've given me inspiration by looking at your photos! If I only do 1/2 the job you've done, I'll be very happy with the results! Thank you!
Just arrived safely home from Emma Lou's and your Retreat and I am just still so 'pumped up!" What a wonderful week, full of new friends, rugs, and food! I learned so much and your studio setting is just so condusive to relaxing and hooking! Your wool is so gorgeous and what a great supply! I am already counting the days I can return. Thank you, so much, for such a wonderful experience, and I salute Emma Lou--Long May She Live and Inspire Us All!! (Tell Marty "HI" for me!) Jeanne (RED)

Love this web site and am eager to receive your on line news letters. I like the designs of all your patterns. I enjoy reading about rug hooking and can remember the first rug hooking book I purchased 25+ years ago....a book by Joan Moshimer. I have done smaller projects but look forward to one day creating one of the larger designs you feature on your wonderful web site.

I love your website!!! I had the sheer pleasure of taking a class with Emma Lou a couple years ago. She came to Richmond, VA as a guest of our hooking group. I chose Scarecrows and Sunflowers as my class piece. Hooking was put on the backburner soon after that........I have 2 busy teenagers and life just seemed to get in the way of my hooking. A couple weeks ago I pulled that rug out and have become "addicted" to it. It's all I seem to do in my spare time! Seeing your finished piece has been a real inspiration. The differences are slight and great(does that make any sense?).....I left the entire rug to Emma Lou to plan for me. I already know what my next rug will be.....your Santa in the canoe!!!
Great shop would love to see it in person. bev
You have a great web site. Look forward to meeting you in February.
Your site is wonderful! I really like the primitive look. I'm anxious to see the studio.
I hope some day to come with a friend to one of your retreats. We both started last August, and are loving it. The ladies at Blackberry Primitives have been so helpful to us. I really enjoy your color choices, and texture. Thanks for putting together the site.
Love your site. Only wish you were closer.

BEST LITTLE SHOP I'VE SEEN. You are such a talented artist & SIS.
Hey sweetie,I love your site! You are a terriffic hooker ! Kat!
I first saw you at a Hook-In in the K.C. area when you brought your "Tulip Cross," half-finished, several years ago. I was blown away, as they say! I was a "Newbe" at that time, and I thought that was THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PRIMITIVE RUG I had ever seen. Now, thanks to Emma Lou and a few years' classes, I have MINE about half-finished. I LOVE all your designs, am crazy about your colors, and your new studio is to "dye" for! (Can I come live with you???) I hope to make a trip from Springfield, MO to your studio very soon. You have some wonderful hooker friends up that way that I also admire. Hope also to attend a retreat. Please send any info about classes or retreats!! Jeanne "RED" Langston

Oh Rhonda, I moved away too soon! Jean Johnston called after being at your studio with Emma Lou and all the comments were GLOWING. I would so like to be joining you other than in my thoughts and memories. Tell the girls all hello and remind them how terribly lucking they all are. All my very best, Jean

Your work is truly inspiring and has so much of Emma Lou's influence -- really wonderful and a real tribute to our primitive style. Thanks so much for sharing you art and patterns. Wonderful...so many different designs!
Your designs and rugs are gorgeous! I love the folk-art look of your designs. I appreciate the information you provide on the completed rugs. It really helps a beginner like me to know what textures and colors were used. I look forward to seeing more of your rugs and patterns.
What beautiful rugs you have, love them and the colors are so wonderful! Great!
Love your rugs and your sense of color.
Your rugs are absolutely gorgeous!!
I'll be back to drool some more. :-)
They all look so beautiful.
I love your designs. I see you live in KC. You must know Emma Lou. I have taken several of her seminars. I can see you love the wonderful primitive hooking as she and alot of us do. She, Polly Minnick and now you, do some of my favorite things. Polly is coming out with a new book in the spring with her sister called Folk Art Quilts and Rugs. She is also a really great and friendly gal. I have decided we all are kindred sprit. I would love to order your eagle pin. Please let me know how to go about it. Thanks, Norma Searle
