This is a picture of the original rug, hooked circa 1890, by Magdalena Briner Eby.
This rug is possibly the largest rug Magdalena hooked. It consists of her wonderful style of animals, all heading in the same direction. There are leaves scattered about and her signature style of filling her backgrounds, makes this a one of a kind masterpiece! I say "Go big or go home"!
