The Central Park Zoo is represented in a few blocks, in the Reconciliation Quilt.
This block shows a deer standing, flanked by a camel and rooster. Below is a walrus flanked by cats. The original Reconciliation Quilt, by Lucinda Ward Honstain, dated Nov. 18th 1867 is one of the most extraordinary pictorial album quilts known.
