This is a portion of the original photo of a bed rug, sewn in 1810.
It has large stylized flowers of faded reds, blues and golden beiges that sprout from a wonderful, scalloped edge basket, all on a dark blackish brown and blue background. The blue in the background is actually the the blue homespun wool backing that has worn thru. The inside border is some what geometrical, carrying the colors from the flowers. This rug is very symmetrical with large motifs which makes it suitable for larger cuts and easy color planning! I also offer the entire original bed rug. Please call about sizes and pricing!
