This block, from the Reconciliation Quilt, shows a union eagle standing on the liberty bell, with a banner in his beak. The original Reconciliation Quilt, by Lucinda Ward Honstain, dated Nov. 18th 1867 is one of the most extraordinary pictorial album quilts known.
